Andrea Makris(Belly Dance)

Andrea Makris, Director of Underbelly Dance, has been studying, performing and teaching Belly dance in far flung corners of the world for over a decade, including Cairo, Toronto, Dublin, Kas (Turkey) and pretty much in every city in Australia. From intimate crowds of 30000 at Fed Square to raucous soirees of 8, this girl's shimmies, isolations and chutzpah have been known to mesmerise, stun and delight

 This exotic contortion act mesmerises audiences as they are drawn in by the flickering candlelight and the flowing, twisting undulations of the human form. Pippin Remi has over ten years of professional performance experience in both Circus and Dance.In 1995 Pippin joined the renowned Flying Fruit Fly Circus, touring and performing extensivelyboth internationally and around regional Australia. In 2004 she attained a BA in Contemporary Arts, graduating with high distinctions. As well as freelance performing,Pippin has completed certificate four in small business management, and formed the partnership Lollypop Productions (teaching and performing Circus). Blending both disciplines in her work, she creates a unique and elegant experience that is the mystery of the circus.

Tank began her performing arts career at age 9, as a classical ballet and Balkan folk dancer in her hometown of Pittsburgh, USA. She then moved to Chicago where she earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts, majoring in costume design. Inspired by working for a Cirque du Soleil show in 2003, she began private lessons in trapeze with Shayna Swanson. Shortly after, she joined the Aloft Aerial Dance company.

She moved to the land down under to further study circus arts and performance techniques. She now lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she works and trains. She has studied at NICA, the National Institute of Circus Arts, where she fine-tuned her aerial skills, and picked up foot juggling and fire performance.

Mike Gurrieri
Mike's strictly underground attitude towards music has earned him a reputation as a DJ who can open an entire crowd's mind to fresh, innovative music but still know how to make it fun at the same time.

Having worked in several local record stores earlier in his career enabled Mike to develop his ear & build a solid collection of music. Not content with just being known as a deep house DJ, Mike has managed to make a name for himself also playing more eclectic freestyle DJ sets where he explores the depths of jazz, funk, soul, roots & beyond.

Andrew McClelland has a reputation as one of the most enthusiastic selectors Australia has ever seen. Playing a mix of 60s pop, 60s soul, classic indie, modern indie and eclectic pop (a good way to say whatever else feels good, From Elton John to the Beastie Boys), Andrew loves music. He dances, hollers and shakes his way through the sets with such joy that it's hard not to join in. For a DJ who doesn’t mix or mash, he’s done surprisingly well, playing clubs and residencies throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He can be seen performing regularly at his club 'Mr. McClelland's Finishing School,' or at any number of private and club functions.
