Red Bennies South Side Show is Melbourne’s Saturday night home for outlandish vaudeville and rambunctious dance floor antics.  Hosted by MC Knave Knixx, each week we are joined by local and international guests performing aerial antics, circus, cabaret, dance and much more.

BILLIE & JESSICA

This incredible duo aerial act is one not to be missed. Billie and Jessica are beautiful to watch, as they weave their bendy bodies around themselves and their aerial ring. Their sexy strength and sassy precence is truly a feast for your eyes.

JESS WARD

Jessica has had a love for dance since she could walk. During her childhood she trained in dance, gymnastics and acrobatics and participated in national and international competitions. At 19 she gave up her full time job as a flight attendant to pursue a career as a circus performer. Jessica has now graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). She specializes in contortion hand balancing, aerial hoop, tissu and acrobatics.

Jessica has performed with Legs on The Wall, at Sydney International Festival, L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, with P&O Cruises, TV Week Logie Awards, NIDA, Future Entertainment as well as many other companies and productions.

Jessica executes an elegant contortion hand balancing act perched upon three canes. She will have you on the edge of your seat as she moves through a series of remarkable contorted movements and positions displaying strength grace and flexibility in both her lyrical choreography and technical skills.

BILLIE WILSON-COFFEY

Billie started out in a youth circus before she moved to

Melbourne to further her circus career.

Specialising in many acts, Billie’s stand out performances are on the aerials where she interweaves and bends herself in the air in a mesmerizing way.

Her strength and dynamic movements contrast beautifully with her elegance to produce an unmissable act.

LEILISHA

National Champion rhythmic gymnast and Nica graduate Leilisha appeared as a contortionist in the Cirque Du Soleil show “KA” showing at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas 2004-2006. She has since been performing numerous acts in shows worldwide. 

MIKE GURRIERI

Mike's strictly underground attitude towards music has earned him a reputation as a DJ who can open an entire crowd's mind to fresh, innovative music but still know how to make it fun at the same time.

Having worked in several local record stores earlier in his career enabled Mike to develop his ear & build a solid collection of music. Not content with just being known as a deep house DJ, Mike has managed to make
a name for himself also playing more eclectic freestyle DJ sets where he explores the depths of jazz, funk, soul, roots & beyond.

Having the ability to play such a wide variety of music has given Mike the opportunity to be the local DJ of choice given the task of setting the mood for many touring acts to take the reigns. He has been billed alongside the likes of Derrick Carter, Henrik Schwarz, Metro Area & Mark Farina at Melbourne's top house music nights. With the more freestyle DJ sets, he has supported DJs such as Jazzanova, Quantic, Nickodemus & Ben Westbeech as well as live acts including Amp Fiddler, Mayer Hawthorne & Crazy Penis. Mike has also started performing alongside funk and soul vocalist Kylie Auldist (of The Bamboos) live on PA. They recently made their debut together at Summadayze 2010 in Melbourne.
