Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.

On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up DJs Mike Gurrieri, Knav Knixx & Edd Fisher.

CAZ WALSH

Caz Walsh is an exciting and fearless circus artist who has travelled around Australia entertaining audiences with her two main acts, Rolla Bolla and Double Swinging Trapeze. Since graduating from the National Institute of Circus Arts in 2009, Caz has performed at numerous festival including the Sydney Festival, the Future Music Festival and the Woodford Folk Festival.

She has also worked for P&O cruises performing around the South Pacific and been a cast member for two 'CIRCA' show's, the highly esteemed circus company out of Brisbane. Caz's love and talent for performing is evident each time she steps on stage.

HANNAH CRYLE

Hannah Cryle, has been performing in circuses for over a decade. She began as a founding member of Brisbane's Flipside Circus at age 9 and recently graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts (Melbourne) with a Bachelors Degree in Circus Arts. Her training has spanned a broad range of disciplines including acrobatics, aerial skills, dance, drama, martial arts and music. Hannah's prime disciplines are German Wheel, Hula Hoops, Solo Static Trapeze and Duo Trapeze (Static and Swinging). She aims to continue being immersed in the professional circus world for years to come.

MIKE GURRIERI

Mike Gurrieri brings his swingin' genre-bending DJ antics to Red Bennies every Saturday night from midnight. Expect to go everywhere from swing jazz, funk, soul, hip hop & everything else in-between. A true party set like no other!

EDD FISHER

Edd Fisher is a music collector, selector, appreciator, producer & radio presenter.

Not your average disc jockey, Edd is a graduate of Australia's premier music school WAAPA with a bachelor in Jazz Composition, presents a radio show (Tomorrow Land) fortnightly on PBS106.7FM and is one of Beat TV’s latest presenters and interviewers!

A regular DJ in the Melbourne scene, Edd’s sets span a mixed bag of Rare-Groove, Funk, Soul, Future Beats, Disco, Hop Hop & Jazz. A fine selector across broad genres Edd's sound is a seamless blend of old and new creating a distinct and modern take on the dance floor.

The Knave is a one of a kind selector that brings you a freaky collection of boogie woogie, hip shakin', room-a-quakein' tunes!

This quirky, high octane DJ is King Pin selector of his style in homeland NZ and is making the dancefloors of Melbourne jump to his special fix of Swing Jazz, Nostalgia, Surf, Rock N Roll, Exotica, Funk and Cumbia Beat.
It's an infectious blend of nostalgic flavour that will have you swinging tree to tree though the musical jungle of groovy...

IMAAN

Imaan Hadchiti, Australia’s biggest smallest comedian presents the South Side Show.

Imaan has performed at Melbourne Comedy Circuit for just over 5 years touring all around Australia and the UK. He boasts a different perspective for stand up comedy being of a short-stature, he uses his point of difference to point out the absurdity of societies reactions to “midgets” he also touches on topics of religion and the lack of common sense in the world with a nice blend of personal travel stories.
