Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.

On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up by host Knave Knixx and DJ Mike Gurrieri.

ELEANOR BEVERIDGE (AERIAL)

Eleanor started her training as a dancer, moving to the UK to study at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. After graduating she worked with various choreographers and small dance companies based in the North East of the Country.  Looking for a hobby to escape from her Dance work she took up Trapeze lessons.  She soon caught the bug and emersed herself in all things aerial working closely with Haylee Mai of Circus Maniacs, Bristol.  Although having skills in Trapeze, Hoop and Silks/Tissu she soon discovered her passion was for Rope.  Since then she has worked with Zendeh Theatre Company, UK,  and co-formed the small aerial company called Newtons Ladder, UK, who look at developing site specific bespoke aerial pieces.  Eleanor returned to Australia in December 2010 and is continuing to find new projects to sink her teeth into.

The Circus Firemen have delighted audiences across Australia and around the world with their high skill circus and comedy show. Suitable for a variety of venues and audiences of all ages, Angus and Matilda provide world class entertainment combining traditional circus skills with contemporary Australian humour. The Circus Firemen are committed to being at the forefront of the Australian circus industry.

Josh and Idris have been performing together for over 8 years starting in community theatre and moving into professional corporate entertainment. The Circus Firemen have performed at numerous festivals including: Woodford Folk Festival, Auckland International Buskers Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival and the St Kilda Street Festival.

This quirky, high octane DJ is King Pin selector of his style in homeland NZ and is currently making the dancefloors of Melbourne jump to his special fix of Surf, Swing Jazz, Rock N Roll, Exotica and Cumbia Beat.
It's an infectious blend of nostalgic flavour that will have you swinging tree to tree though the musical jungle of groovy...

EDD FISHER

Edd Fisher is a music collector, selector, appreciator, producer & radio presenter.
Not your average disc jockey, Edd is a graduate of Australia's premier music school WAAPA with a bachelor in Jazz Composition, presents a radio show (Tomorrow Land) fortnightly on PBS106.7FM and is one of Beat TV’s latest presenters and interviewers!

A regular DJ in the Melbourne scene, Edd’s sets span a mixed bag of Rare-Groove, Funk, Soul, Future Beats, Disco, Hop Hop & Jazz. A fine selector across broad genres Edd's sound is a seamless blend of old and new creating a distinct and modern take on the dance floor.

Imaan Hadchiti, Australia’s biggest smallest comedian presents the South Side Show.
Imaan has performed at Melbourne Comedy Circuit for just over 5 years touring all around Australia and the UK. He boasts a different perspective for stand up comedy being of a short-stature, he uses his point of difference to point out the absurdity of societies reactions to “midgets” he also touches on topics of religion and the lack of common sense in the world with a nice blend of personal travel stories.
