Circus Expose

A night to showcase emerging acts and rising talent from the performance arts collective!
FEATURING PERFORMANCES FROM:
LIZ KAJKO (STATIC TRAPEZE)
Liz traveled from the US to train in Melbourne. Growing up she competed in gymnastics and pole vaulting. She discovered circus after graduating university and started training in Seattle and Denver. Her two favorite apparatuses are static trapeze and chinese pole.

JAMIE BRETMAN (CLOWNING/JUGGLING)
After having trained at circo arts New Zealand for two years jamie went on tour with circus Aotearoa in 2009.currently comleting his second year at NICA and specialising in but not limited to Clown/Mime and partner acrobatics, Jamie has a mix bag that stretches from juggling and spinning to acrobatics, clowning and mime and is a greatly talented entertainer.

ZOE NEWITT (ROPES)
A collaboration of a live indie rock band 'Andrew and me" and circus performer Zoe, bring to the stage their debut show "You Andrew and me". A tug of war between the intricacies of the romantic notion.

SARAH "DOOGS" MCDOUGALL
Sarah 'Doogs' McDougall began circus when she decided it was time to learn a backsault to celebrate winning points on the volleyball court! When volleyball faded into the background and circus took over, she began expanding her circus skills and discovered fire, aerial and hula hoops! Despite an irrational fear of heights, Doogs loves being in the air and has trained in all forms of aerial. She specialises in Single-point Trapeze and Hula Hoops (secretly we know that this is all just an excuse to wear cool costumes & crazy make-up in public though!)!

BELLA VOLARE
Melbourne based aerialist, Danielle Gledhill (“Bella Volare”) has a varied background in tumbling, static trapeze and tissu. Having performed both nationally and internationally at events such as Burning Man Festival in Nevada, Whittlesea Agriculture Show with “The Flying Lotahs” and various festival and nightclub appearances, Danielle incorporates death defying drops and fire arts into her performances.

SIMON-JAMES REYNOLDS
Simon is an ex-gymnast from Victoria, having competed at national and international level before transferring his skills over to circus. Specializing in handstand contortion and tumbling wire, Simon is a very talented emerging artist.

Red Bennies offers a unique experience to your traditional seated show.
Short and sweet acts appear throughout the evening, complimenting the drinking hour and breaking up your club experience. Show structures and interval times may vary.
