Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of Vaudeville, Circus and Cabaret.

On stage, on the dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème de la crème of local and international guest performers, alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up by DJs Mike Gurrieri & Knave Knixx.

LILIKOI KAOS

With Australia’s leading female sideshow performer, Lilikoi Kaos, you are in for a treat. This amazing, charismatic, circus performer has tantalised audiences worldwide with her unique breed of circus/sideshow/burlesque. Founder of Opposable Thumbs, Parasouls, Kaos Kreepshow, Good Kissing Carrion and performing member of The League of Sideshow Superstars, Circus vs Sideshow, and Sideshow Wonderland. Lilikoi is unique and in demand.

TARN SCULLY

Over the past eight years her work has been as diverse as a years contract at FRIEDRICHSTADT PALAST in BERLIN to a specially commissioned AERIAL DANCE FILM for CHANNEL 4. She has worked both nationally and internationally within traditional circuses, clubs, corporate events, theatres, for TV and film and within more experimental aerial dance companies.

She is a specialist tutor for Circomedia Circus School in Bristol teaching corde lisse and    teaches aerial workshops in the UK and internationally. (Chinese pole, corde lisse etc)

She also provides workshops specific to dancers at colleges/universities in USA and Asia.
Through my own work and choreography she  explores the physicality, presence, sensitivity and power of the body, both on and off the ground.

Mike Gurrieri brings his swingin' genre-bending DJ antics to Red Bennies every Saturday night from midnight. Expect to go everywhere from swing jazz, funk, soul, hip hop & everything else in-between. A true party set like no other!
