Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.

On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up DJs Mike Gurrieri & Knave Knixx.

JAMES KINGSFORD-SMITH

James began his training in Gymnastics at the age of 5 and has been performing since he was 15. 

He has astounded audiences at international circus competitions, professional arts markets, major sporting ceremonies and just recently, performed with the circus phenomena, CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.

He will excite and enthrall you through a mastery of both the physical and the emotional. He twists, turns, hangs, presses, contorts, balances and falls into impossible positions to take you on a roller coaster ride of excitement, drama and suspense.

James possesses a unique combination of circus and theatrical talent, along with a passionate desire to emotionally impact audiences.

APRIL & KYLE - DUO

This dynamic duo combines skills in acrobatics, manipulation and contortion to create work that is both fun and daring. Kyle and April began their duo career performing aboard a cruise ship. Constantly pushing this work to new heights, bringing together years of experience in circus, theatrical dance, music and comedy.

Their boundless energy, slick costumes and highly polished acrobatic skills are sure to impress.
