Melbourne's best local live music has a new home on the southside!

Over the last month at Red Bennies we've been getting some of the best local live bands in as a test to see just how much we can rock the southside with amazing local Melbourne music, and the test results:

Every Thursday Red Bennies Live will be hosting the best local live music Melbourne has to offer, and to kick of our official launch we've got a special bunch of very very talented minstrels in to get you rocking off your feet!

**For the brave ones! Come dressed as Caesar and we'll throw you cheap entry (and a cocktail/jug to the first three Caesars we see), come as a group of five Caesars, we'll chuck in a $50 drink voucher.**

VAN MYER

A band whose live shows hark back to the classic performers of years gone by, with a fresh twist, bringing familiarity to the fore. As part of their flamboyant and eccentric live performance, vocalist Jack Byrnes leads the 5-piece effortlessly, but with dominance and precision. His live performances eerily send you back with visions of watching some of the greatest band leaders of our time. The band back Jack up perfectly ‘hitting the mark’ on all occasions as a hot rhythm section with unforgettable hooks and driving beats.

Van Myer blew the roof off the venue at the soft launch night on February 2nd and are winning a lot of fans every week, when you see Jack approach the microphone get your ass ready to move and groove, Van Myer are an extravagant solid talented soulful rock experience you have just got to see.

PIERCE BROTHERS

Dynamic duo's are not too few and far between, but the effortless and unique harmonies you get with identical twins on stage together is both rare and exciting.

Pat and Jack Pierce have had multiple tours on Australia's east coast winning hearts up and down the country with their blend of catchy roots and indie pop. This formula has proven the brothers are undoubtedly establishing themselves as artists to watch on the Australian music scene.

The Pierce Brothers bring an organic, natural and vibrant energy to the stage. Its that combination that has successfully earned them a place supporting the likes of Blue King Brown, The Beautiful Girls, Carus Thompson and Ash Grunwald.
