Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.

On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up by DJ Mike Gurrieri & guests.

OLIVER SMITH-WELLNITZ

Oliver Smith-Wellnitz joined The Flying Fruit Fly Circus in 2007, and spent three years there training and performing. Specialising in the aerial skills of Tissu and Static Trapeze, Oliver performed in shows such as 'Beach Party' and 'The Promise'. In early 2010 he began working with 'A4 Circus Ensemble' and their show 'Downpour' for the Hoopla Festival in Sydney, later touring with the show to Montreal, for the Montreal International Circus Festival. Oliver is hoping to travel overseas again for training in 2011.

LILLIKOI KAOS

Lilikoi Kaos is the “Princess of Circus, Sideshow and Vaudeville”. An international superstar who has been performing since she could walk. Known for her unique, charismatic stage presence she will have you fixated whether she is performing a beautiful aerials routine, an upbeat hoops routine or a jaw-dropping sideshow routine.

HANNAH TROTT

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Hannah combines her skills as a professional dancer with aerial intrigue, creating performances that will leave you breathless.

MC Fanny La Rue

MC extraordinaire Fanny La Rue has played hostess for burlesque shows in Australia and the UK since starting out with Perth's premiere burlesque troupe, Sugar Blue Burlesque, in 2008. Fanny has used her original wit and dazzling costumes to woo crowds at everything from intimate Spiegeltents to major outdoor festivals.

Raised with bourbon in her baby bottle, at a young age she heard the call of the stage and answered... with a slew of profanity, sexual innuendo and dirty jokes. Sassy, saucy and occasionally shocking, Fanny has been known to whip her audiences into a frenzy, often using actual whipping cream. Front row, you have been warned.
