Swinburne Event Management Students partnered with Red Bennies are proud to present the Battle for the Buskers petition event. Dazzling performances with breathtaking stunts normally only seen on the streets are being brought to the beautiful stage at Red Bennies to showcase and show off! A night that will never be forgotten
Swinburne Event Management Students are aiming to fight for the right of Performance Artists throughout Melbourne. Armed with clipboards and pens, 1,500 signatures are being sought to open new busking pitches throughout Melbourne!
The petitioners are asking the Council to provide the use of the following areas for Melbourne, National & International Street Performance Artists and Buskers.

Equipped with Overt good looks and great vibrations the O.M.G's were born to supply Melbourne with Original Massive Grooves and provide an Orgasmic Mindfield Gaping with sweet sweet soulful music!
The O.M.G's have a history as buskers, with many members of the band still regularly taking to the streets, both trying out new material and finding inspiration in the cacaphony that is Melbourne's concrete jungle.
Presenting - The world’s most innovative and multiple-world-record-holding contemporary Sideshow performer, AERIAL MANX. Dubbed too dangerous for group performances and far too hardcore for Guinness Book of World Records, this mind-blowing performance is designed specifically to enthral, entertain and open the eyes & minds of audiences both in theatres and on the street. Callan Harris is an energetic and versatile performer with skills ranging from circus and magic to music and theatre. Originally a self taught entertainer, Callan has actively performed throughout Melbourne and Australia for 4 years. During this time he has been recognized as Australia’s Youngest Professional Street Entertainer. Callan is currently attending the National Institute of Circus Arts where he hopes to pursue his training and continue his performing career.

CIRCUSDOGS have been entertaining Australian audiences at festivals, kids parties, nursing homes and street performing for nearly 10 years. They have appeared on Hey Hey its Saturday winning Red Faces and have also made an appearance on Australia’s Funniest Home Videos. Are the cuter than clever? Or are they funnier? Or are they just very naughty little dogs?
Slim presents a carny variety show so exciting it stars Slim. Slim showcases juggling tricks, sideshow magic, and subtlety hilarious humour. Slim has mixed feelings speaking about himself in the third person and is good at spelling. He has told lies throughout a surprising number of countries.
Mike Gurrieri brings his swingin' genre-bending DJ antics to Red Bennies. Expect to go everywhere from swing jazz, funk, soul, hip hop & everything else in-between. A true party set like no other!

Imaan Hadchiti, Australia’s biggest smallest comedian presents the South Side Show.
Imaan has performed at Melbourne Comedy Circuit for just over 5 years touring all around Australia and the UK. He boasts a different perspective for stand up comedy being of a short-stature, he uses his point of difference to point out the absurdity of societies reactions to “midgets” he also touches on topics of religion and the lack of common sense in the world with a nice blend of personal travel stories.
