Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.

On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.

With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up DJs Mike Gurrieri & Andrew Padula.

Tat and Nikki have been firm friends and acrobatics partners for over 13 years. A sharing of dry wit, sarcasm and the darkest of humours have cemented this love to hate partnership. Their constant off stage playful jibes, bickering and banter have finally found their way into their on stage characters and so the masterpiece of Strictly Dumb Prancing has been born.

Didj Wentworth has performed to audiences across the globe. His aerial straps are unmistakable, drawing on inspiration from dance circus and martial arts. He fuses together traditional and contemporary circus creating an act both exhilarating and edgy that still seems to find moments of simplicity. Didj pushes the physical boundaries with a sleek performance that demands attention.
