Briefs slams together a beef-caked & camped-up front line of Brisbane’s finest performers & mischief makers in a circus infused variety show for the not so faint hearted. A rag-tag team of skillful buccaneers in an evening of wicked humour, gob smacking physicality, absurdity, piss take and blatant displays of flesh.

The Briefs ensemble will blast onto the Melbourne block for the first time with a twisted Fringe Club nite not to be missed. The club nite titled the BRIEFS SHINDIG will be a sumptuous taste tester for there cabaret season at RED BENNIES running from the 30^th Sept – 3^rd Oct and the 7^th – 10^th Oct. The BRIEFS SHINDIG will present a tag team of acts and antidotes featuring a hand full of the BRIEFS cast with a criminal line up of guest acts. Born in the back rooms of Brisbane’s underbelly as an independent performance club nite Briefs aims to undo the seat belts of the audiences by bringing the RSL to the big-top, the nite-club to the theatre and remixing the notion of theatrical vaudeville and circus variety performance. Since its humble & dysfunctional beginnings in 2008 Briefs has packed out audiences at Brisbane Festival (09), Woodford Folk Festival (09), Adelaide Fringe (2010) & Gold Coast Fringe (2010).

Briefs thrives on the idea of creating a home for a political conscience, theatrical rule breaking, gender confrontation, comical irony, highly skillful circus, clever parody and good ol entertainment.
