Burlesque Flood Relief Benefit
Artists Unite!
Why have only one charity event when you can have one HUGE simultaneous night of frivolity and fun...for a good cause?

Burlesque Bar (Fitzroy), Red Bennies (South Yarra) and The Wrong Crowd (Geelong) are set to host a BURLESQUE & CABARET EXTRAVAGANZA that will steal your hearts and set your pulses racing!
Join us on Thursday the 27th of January, 2011 at any one of these venues and help our Victorian Burlesque and Cabaret artists bare all to raise funds for Flood Relief. We're aiming to raise a minimum of $20,000...with raffles,
silent auctions, donations and the opportunity for one lucky punter to win a personal burlesque strip from some of the State's most delectable divas!
There are also tickets to Burlesque Royale on Friday 28th of January up for grabs (valued at $160 each), private classes with Kelly Ann Doll and more!
With your host...
Madame Natalia

There are simple girls with simple tastes and Natalia is not one of them. As daring as she is decadent and dark, she flits on a razor's edge between high-class showmanship and whorish indulgence, dragging the audience (sometimes unwillingly) through every vestige of show.
Hailed as the Black Widow of Melbourne's burlesque underground, Madame Natalia has been breaking hearts (and bones), across the city since late 2006. After a soul-stealing foray into the chaotic and evil world of theatre restaurants, followed by a lascivious liason with Melbourne's Cabaret circuit, she found her way into the titillating and tempting world of Burlesque.
Featuring performances from...

Vesper White
Best loved for her darkly alluring burlesque acts, Vesper has no fear in exploring everything from the traditional and historical, to the alternative, the weird, the horrifyingand that based in fetish. The strength of her stage presence is rare in a creature so young; she possesses the ability to hold an audience quietly captive before drawing a subsequent response of inimitable rapture. White is known for her powerful, enchanting eyes and cheeky smile, a raw energy and excitement that has been likened to Bettie Page, and a hip-shake reminiscent of the Chicago State Fair exotics.
The Strawberry Siren
Miss Strawberry Siren has been dazzling Burlesque audiences both in Australia and overseas for the last 4 years. No stranger to the stage, Miss Strawberry has been performing since the tender age of 12 (yes.... that’s 16 years under lights!) Miss Strawberry draws on her extensive background in Circus, Theatre and Dance to provide a fresh and fancy take on Burlesque that she likes to call Cirlesque!(TM)

Scarlett
Captivating and visualising dark desires and dreams. Where else could you find a more alluring path to this than through Burlesque - the tease, the drama and the seduction?
Meet Scarlett, a Melbourne based Burlesque performer who arrives through the untouchable and regal world of Classical Ballet. Scarlett combines a love of performing, theatrics and costume to engage audiences in dance and tease at its best. Performances are heavily influenced by music that inspires and movement that enraptures.

Sapphira
When you hear a voice that oozes sensuality and sends you gooey inside, chances are you’ve heard Sapphira. A Melbourne based pianist, burlesque artist and belly dancer, Sapphira has been lighting up the stage since she was tiny. Under her real name, Priscilla Tonkin she is a published singer/songwriter and dance music producer also writing under the pseudonym, Mystress. As Sapphira, her signature ‘Sing & Fling’ acts are featured widely at high profile glamorous events.

Betty Blood
This sassy dame is known to serve up her old lace with a sprinkling of arcenic. Betty blood is the slightly twisted girl next door who frequently shimmys across melbourne burlesque stages teasing audiences with her unique brand of vaudevillian mischief. With a background in theatre, performance art, and many styles of dance (from balroom to go-go), Betty's unique brand of neo-burlesque blends her variety of sensuous talents and love of vintage kitsch with odd ball antics and black comedy.

Honey B. Goode
Honey B. Goode burst onto the Melbourne burlesque scene in 2008, and has forged a reputation as an original, charismatic and often surprising performer. Utilising her training in modern and classical dance, physical theatre and the dramatic arts, this chameleon-like performer delights in pushing the boundaries of burlesque. With a nod to the past and a cheeky wink to the future, Honey takes the elements of classic burlesque and puts her own modern spin on them.

Rod Lara
Rod 'Malec' Lara has been performing for the past 10 years as actor, physical comedian, and eccentric dancer. Initially trained in the artistic skills of circus, Rod's shows have slowly been evolving into a wordless amalgamation of comedy and dance, where his character Malec originated. His shows have been described as unique, quirky, energetic, hilarious and right-down funky!
Lady Chocolat

Lady Chocolat is the sassy li'l Lady of the Melbourne Burlesque scene. Known for her cheeky charm and high voltage routines, she gets toes tapping and hearts racing wherever she goes! Sugary sweet and decadently daring, Lady Chocolat is guaranteed to satisfy the sweet tooth in you all.
