Merry Chrismukkah!

Chanukah and Christmas, the wonderful time of the year when the Judeo-Christian religions give each other gifts to mark some poignant moment in their history. This year the two cross over with Chanukah and Christmas falling at the same time. So joy to the world, as we light up the night with a Red Bennies Chrismukkah.

On the 4th day of Chanukah and Christmas eve, Red Bennies is pleased to present Chrismukkah. While the halls are usually decked with holly Red Bennies has extended the olive branch and will be sure to be burning the oil well into the 8th day.

So whether you’re Jew or Gentile, you are sure to be in for a fantastic show with a terrific line up filled with live & amazing musical offerings.

Red Bennies provides the festivus for the rest of us at the time of the year when it’s best to celebrate. With the addition of Glicks doughnuts, and some festive drink specials it will be a great night to come out and celebrate.

STARRING

SABABA

Starting out as an acoustic duo between Limor and Daniel, the guys decided it was time to diversify and bring in a rythm section. After finding our bass player on the internet (not on RSVP) and Micheal coming out of our friend ship network, Sababa completely transformed into the funk and soul powerhouse they are today. With the new addition of Jez on keys the groove has just gotten stronger and will guarantee to get you up & moving on the dance floor.

THE INVESTORS

This energetic young band belts out everything from classic rock, pop, to blues… Playing all the classics from The Stones and the Beatles right through to The Verve and Ben Harper. The InVestors pride themselves on their diversity and range of styles. On any given night the band could be anything from a small acoustic set, right through to a full band complete with drums, guitars, keyboards, percussion, backing vocals and a stunning saxophone player.

Whilst the band maintains a passion for playing new music and keeping up to date, they never shy away from throwing in some golden oldies and have been known to dabble in some Ray Charles and Clapton-esque blues. No matter what the venue or the purpose The InVestors are ready with the right songs, experience and enthusiasm to get everyone on their feet!

ELLIOT FREEMAN & ZAIYA

At just 22, Elliot Freeman is a rising star on Melbourne's music scene with years of experience already under his belt as a performer through high school followed by regular engagements as a guitarist and vocalist covering most genres at bars, restaurants and private functions. Coupled with his partner in crime, Zaiya, they have a delightful combination of originals with covers that are sure to ease you into the night!

DJ PREQUEL

DJ Prequel as we know him, is quite simply the result of a record buying addiction, a fear of hairdressers and a secret love affair between Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro. This culmination of elements turned out to be a good thing for those of us with ears, as Prequel entertains the creatures of the night all over Melbourne, seamlessly shifting between Funk, Soul and Hip Hop jams with a level of ease that most of us haven’t even garnered for simple tasks like brushing our teeth.

DJ EDD FISHER

Edd Fisher began his professional music career at age 15 as a trumpet player. Before moving to Perth to study Jazz and composition (BA) at WAAPA Edd completed a Monash University music enhancement course and was active on the Melbourne music scene in various groups from big bands, small jazz ensembles, cover Bands and an original funk/hip-hop outfit named Debt Collector.
