MARK WINMILL aka THE BOYLESQUE BOYWONDER
2011 Reigning King of Boylesque - Miss Exotic World
With more sparkle than Kylie, and costumes that could shame Lady Gaga, “second generation carni” Mark Winmill is rapidly making a name for himself worldwide.
Mark Winmill is an iconic Australian circus, burlesque and visual theatre performer with a serious panache for aerials, drag, hula-hoops, physical theatre and spectacle with a fresh, raw and savvy edge. Born from the gene pool of old school circus and vaudeville Mark has followed in the foot steps of his acrobat clown and rizzly flyer father. Mark Winmill cleverly marries and collides the different worlds of performance in a robust explosion on stage.
Mark Winmill is the 2011 reigning King of Burlesque as crowned in Las Vegas at the annual Burlesque Hall of Fame, which sees the cream of the international burlesque crop collide in a weekend of celebrating the tradition, the fore-mothers, pageantry and the art of tease that is Burlesque.
Mark is also a co-creator, performer and collaborator in the all male, all vaudeville, all trash, circus-burlesque production BRIEFS which has just completed it’s first international tour to five star reviews and much acclaim. Briefs has previously toured extensively throughout Australia having performed seasons to packed out audiences and spreading the raucous laughter to theatres and festivals including the Sydney Opera House, The Famous Spiegeltent – Melbourne Arts Centre, Adelaide Fringe and Feast Festivals, Woodford Folk Festival, Brisbane Festival, Gold Coast Fringe, commissioned work by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Mark has featured in various high profile affairs including BBC Television, featured in various productions and cabarets including Comic Strip, Late nite lounge, Feasting Flesh, Dance Trax at the Sydney Opera House, Gangsters Ball, Australian Burlesque Festival and La Clique.
Mark is set to tour with the infamous Dita Von Tease in 2012.
THE WOOHOO REVUE
Call them what you will- 'Balkan gypsy brass band, roaring twenties swing ensemble, Wild West fiddle contest or a soundtrack for Looney Tunes'- it barely scratches the surface. There are few, if any parallels to the sound of The Woohoo Revue.
This fiendishly talented sextet create an adrenalin-fuelled celebration fit for dancing, drinking, and ignoring tomorrow.
The combination of absolute dance floor mayhem and a strong sense of old world style has inspired the Age Newspaper to describe The Woohoo Revue’s shows as ‘pandemonium in a pin striped suit’.
Having cast themselves into isolation for the previous month, the band has re-emerged with a bevy of brand new, untrialed on the public, yet to be politically approved material set to light up the dancefloor like never before.
GYPSY WOOD - BURLESQUE
“The new Queen of kink” - Time Out Sydney
After working in cabaret, burlesque and contemporary dance for over a decade Gypsy Wood has emerged as a highly original performer with a penchant for the comic, clever, shocking and divine. Gypsy aims to challenge stereotypes within popular culture, politics and modern sexuality.
"A special mention must also go to Gypsy Wood, an Australian burlesque star, for what has to be one of the most shocking and hilarious visual gags this reviewer has ever seen at the Fringe. The ticket price is almost worth it for this alone." - Neil Simpson
DANIEL OLDAKER - VAUDEVILLE
"High energy clowning ... rivals Buster Keaton." The Adelaide Advertiser
Daniel Oldaker was born in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, and now lives in Melbourne/Brisbane. At present he spends 4 months of each year touring to Europe and Asia, performing highly innovative one-man, duo and group physical comedy shows.
Daniel began performing professionally at the age of 18 as part of a double act, and that same year the pair achieved first prize on ‘Red Faces’, Australia’s premier TV variety show. Daniel then spent two years perfecting his abundant physical skills at CircoArts circus school, Christchurch, New Zealand.
On his return to Australia, Daniel immediately resumed professional work, appearing in both the 1999 and 2000 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals. He now extends himself beyond pure performance, to writing and producing. As part of this extension, each year for the last 10 years Daniel has self-produced his one-man show and the duo act “The Great Gondos” presenting these shows throughout Europe, Australia and Asia.
Daniel now divides his time between the international street theatre circuit, and producing, performing and MCing variety/cabaret/outdoor spectacle performances in Australia. His innovative use of everyday ephemera, high energy and low verbosity make him one of Australia’s funniest physical comedians. Daniel has also produced a variety night ‘Acts of Absurdity’ at numerous venues for 10 years in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Hobart, showcasing not only his own talents as comic and M.C., but also those of other performers.
Daniel has achieved perhaps the highest accolade an artist can expect; he is a ‘performer’s performer’, not only a source of entertainment for the audience, but a true inspiration to his peers. Daniel sets extremely high standards of originality and innovation, which enrich all who see him perform the unique, circus-inspired, “Bell Boy” his delightfully absurd variety/cabaret piece “Oldaker Antics” or hamming it up as MC for ‘Acts of Absurdity’ and other events and variety shows.
LILLIKOI KAOS - BURLESQUE / CIRCUS

Drawing inspiration from around the globe, her performing style is both unique and skilful. She has dazzled hundreds of audiences, performing in intimate cabarets, Udderbelly in London, the Circus Oz big top, the main stages of music festivals, Crown Palladium, and international circus festivals.
"…the audience whooped with wild applause and so will you" – Danu Poynter Australian Stage
Along with performing, Lilikoi writes, produces and directs and has formed a number of ground-breaking companies. In 2011 she was selected by London’s Roundhouse to produce a circus performance, 'Concentrics', making use of Ron Arad’s installation, Curtain Call. For the inaugural season of Circus Works at Theatre Works in 2009 she was part of the all female circus group 'Parasouls' for whom she wrote, directed, and performed in a show examining notions of perfection, ideas of oddity, and women’s roles through history.
She also formed circus/sideshow group Opposable Thumbs (with Gordo Gamsby and Manx) and was integral to the creation of Australia’s first youth run youth circus Trick for whom she directed and performed in the show that won the 2006 Melbourne Fringe ‘Best Circus Show’ , ‘Best Family Show’ and ‘ACAPTA’ awards.
Lilikoi has also collaborated on projects and videos with other companies and artists including: Carnival Cinema, The League of Sideshow Superstars, Cirlesque, the Meat Packers Union, Good Kissing Carrion, Die Roten Punkte, Rottica, Fools Like Us, and others.
