First forming in January 2009 The Elliott's founding members Robbie and Clinton Elliott (Twin brothers) were on a mission to expand their audience, originally from the small city of Devonport in Tasmania, they sang and collaborated together for years before realising that there could be a wider opportunity, after signing an Indie Label when they left school, the boys decided to make the move to the fashion and culture capatial of Australia - Melbourne.
After the move, the boys decided that they needed one thing, a tight rhythm section. After auditioning for weeks, Ash and James, who had been friends for years decided to audition as a pair and go in together, there was no stopping these two, especially that they were, wonderful players of their instruments, but they could also sing.
After writing and gigging for around six months the boys finally mastered their sound of guitar driven close harmonies Synth/Pop/Rock. Together all four boys have been playing shows up and down the East Coast and have had airplay with their song “Star” in the twins homestate, Tasmania. The Elliott's have one mission, to conquer the pop universe by offering catchy yet intelligent songs that they enhance with complimentary instrumentation.
From humble beginnings at a promiscuous little night called The Clap, and much skill-honing at the now deceased 3rd Class (R.I.P), Post Percy is a delightful being. Taking the country by storm with his breathe of
fresh air approach and unpredictable and always memorable "kitchen sink" sets.
Each journey is crafted around the love of all GOOD music, pleasing (almost) even the modern day chinstroker amateur dj chasing "the mix" which sadly is the majority of a nightclub crown circa 2010,
while still keeping whats left of the people out for a good time and dance, more than happy.
While playing at clubs from city to city, Percy still calls MELBOURNE home, with regular gigs almost six nights week at new guernica, roxanne, superdisco prince of wales, no future, the mercat, brown alley, and Ms Libertines.
He has set the party mood for many internationals, supporting the likes of Robyn, Foals, Peaches, The Faint, Joakim, Todd Terje, Erol Alkan, The Rapture, Dj Kaos, Miike Snow, Vampire weekend, Golden Bug, Aeroplane, Classixx, and the debonair Mr. Vanilla Ice and countless other international acts as well as causing kiddie-riots at Splendour in the Grass, Falls, hotlicks and St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Playing the contemporary equivalent of a friendly houseparty ., Post Percy can be found pretty much anywhere and everywhere changing peoples lives, helping the metaphorical old lady across the road, kissing babys and signing your little sisters tits.
Lacking the desire for “Superstar DJ status, this lovable "young veteran" is probably more serious about the music than the genre it belongs to, open up, and get involved.. this is POSTPERCY.
