Katie Underwood
Katie Underwood started her professional career in Australia as a member of the pop group Bardot, created by the TV show Popstars in 2000. Bardot achieved huge success in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, achieving double-platinum sales for their debut album and singles.
Katie left Bardot in 2001 and returned to the music scene a year later with Australian dance act Disco Montego with the #1 Club hit, “Beautiful” for which she won an APRA award in 2003. Katie continued her career in television, working as a presenter in the Channel 7 series Undercover Angels. Her first solo single Danger earned her another APRA nomination in 2004. Katie’s own song, Pop Trash ,was released by South African Idol winners NKD in 2005 and Serbian Idol Winner, Cveta Majtanovic in 2006. Her last dance release Be Together, (with T-Funk) was released by Ministry of Sound in June 2006 and went to #1 on the ARIA club chart.
Katie has now released her debut album ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Baby’ (through MGM and I-tunes) which features a selection of jazz standards and original songs, plus an exclusive jazz-infused recording of her classic dance hit ‘Beautiful’
