RB'S LIVE PRESENTS: THE PIERCE BROTHERS

Pierce Brothers
Dynamic duo’s are not too few and far between, but the effortless and unique harmonies you get with identical twins on stage together is both rare and exciting.
The Pierce Brothers bring an organic, natural and vibrant energy to the stage. Its that combination that has successfully earned them a place supporting the likes of Blue King Brown, The Beautiful Girls, Carus Thompson and Ash Grunwald. With a stack of new recordings, video’s and a big summer of touring lined up for the Melbourne twins, it would be a shame not to check out this fresh new talent.

Andrew Lim
Like pages torn from a journal, Andrew’s undisguised lyrics paint pictures of his life on a musical canvas delivering an honesty that speaks directly to your soul. Establishing himself as a noteworthy singer/songwriter in Melbourne’s music scene, Andrew earned his stripes touring nationally as the guitarist and backing vocalist for the rock group Closure In Moscow. It was his love for blues/country and pop that would later be the catalyst for Andrew bowing out of the band to further develop his songwriting and try his hand at a solo career. With Andrew’s guitar playing firmly rooted in blues/country, he draws from its finest elements, fusing it with slick pop melodies and his incredible vocal range to bring a fresh approach to the pop/rock genre.

Chris O’neill
Melbourne born singer/songwriter Chris O’Neill’s love affair with music began at age 5, after his parents overheard him working out the theme to his favourite cartoon on the piano. Fast forward to the present day and Chris is now an established multi-instrumentalist and composer, with a deep passion for storytelling and connecting to others through music.
Having supported renowned artists such as Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors), Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), and Matt Corby, assembled a backing band of some of Melbourne’s hottest up and coming players, and competed against world class songwriters in international competitions all by age 22, the future is certainly looking bright for this young musician - and he can’t wait to write about it!

Winter moon
Grown from humble roots as an acoustic duo formed in 2009, Winter Moon have been playing in their current guise since mid 2011. Having revived the soul of some of the most powerful music of the past, and imbued it with a slice of their own lives, it’s hard not to be transported to another world when listening to this heart-pounding music. This is music to lose yourself in, music for feeling, music for thinking, music for dancing and music for loving. Take a look at the demos, and keep an ear out for the EP, because what you are hearing now is but the tip of the subterranean mountainside.
