COOKIN' ON 3 BURNERS & KYLIE AULDIST
Cookin' On 3 Burners are Australia's hardest hitting Hammond Organ Trio - joining the dots between Deep Funk, Raw Soul, Organ Jazz & Boogaloo. Since forming in 2000 the 3-piece have forged a well-earned reputation on the international Deep Funk & Soul scene with a series of acclaimed releases aimed squarely at the dancefloor and the Sunday afternoon barbeque!
Jake Mason (Hammond Organ), Lance Ferguson (Guitar) and Ivan Khatchoyan (Drums) formed Cookin' On 3 Burners inspired by the Hammond Soul-Jazz masters such as Jimmy Smith, Reuben Wilson and Jimmy McGriff. The Cookin' sound is drenched in the bluesy, soulful influence of the late 60's/early 70's output of labels such as Prestige, Bluenote & Groove Merchant.
Cookin' On 3 Burners made their home at Adrian Gibson's esteemed U.K label Freestyle Records in 2007 and have released four 7" 45's, two 12" singles and two full length albums: "Baked Broiled & Fried" & the brand new 'Soul Messin' LP. They have also had their music released on labels including Knowfoowl (AUS), Bamboo Shack (AUS), Wagram (FRANCE), SPV (GERMANY) and Nascante (U.K)
