DANIEL OLDAKER

 

A consummate clown, an original humorist, and a man with his finger on the pulsing heart of absurdity, Daniel Oldaker knows what's what and what'll make you laugh. He presently spends 4 months of each year touring to Europe, America & Asia, performing his highly innovative one-man & duo physical comedy shows.

A nostalgic piece of theatre with an ersatz twist of contemporary circus, The Bell Boy is a service man with too many suitcases and not enough time on his hands. Balancing, juggling, tumbling and warm audience interaction combine to make this a vaudeville experience in the best European tradition. A sublime display of physical skill and comic timing as Daniel
 explores the ups and downs of life's baggage.

 

KELLY ANN DOLL


Pin-up pocket rocket Kelly Ann Doll, with dance moves Fred Astaire himself would be proud of. Trained in both theatre and dance, Kelly Ann Doll is one of the fastest rock n' roll dancers in the country, She infuses swing, latin, blues & circus into her act to create a unique combination, never seen before.

This versatility has seen Kelly Ann make waves all across the atlantic and beyond, not only within the swing dance arena but in the increasingly popular burlesque scene. Having performed in almost every major burlesque review since 2004, a favourite in the Australian Burlesque Festival & and supporting International Artist Immodesty Blaze at the State theatre in Sydney. This doll is redefining the form and as such has become one of Australia’s most loved Burlesque exports.

SENORITA CONSUELA (Sarahlouise Younger)

Sarahlouise Younger is a graduate of The Arts Academy’s Music Theatre Course and a Scholarship recipient of Danceworld Studios. She has toured Australia/Asia in a variety of shows including I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, City of Angels, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wild World The Cat Stevens Story and most recently in ‘Once on this Island’.
Sarahlouise spent 2009 and the start of 2010 in London where she was Choreographer to the tribute show ‘Coyote Ugly’, featured vocalist on Peel Cruises Europe Winter Cruise as well as a guest artist at the prestigious Pineapple studios in Covent Garden teaching Jazz and Hip-Hop.

SAPPHIRA

 

Sapphira is an international teacher and performer of belly dancing and burlesque. She is an artist who pushes boundaries and championed the union of the belly dance and burlesque communities in Britain, despite strong opposition from conservative circles. Sapphira is a well known face on the international circuit. She has performed under the desert stars at the renowned Burning Man Festival in Nevada, been interviewed on radio in San Francisco for her show & Shimmy Shake UK was filmed for the Belly Dancing MobiDiaries on Nuts TV.

Sapphira is co-producer of the Australian Burlesque Festival and is proud to contribute  to a scene she enjoys so passionately. As one who believes in the therapeutic elements of movement, costume and dance, Sapphira teaches women to embrace their curves and move sensually through her courses titled BECOME A BURLESQUE BOMBSHELL. Feedback from her students resonates with positivity around the globe.

Under the banner of burlesque,  Sapphira  combines all her creative talents as a singer/songwriter, classically trained pianist, belly dancer and avant-garde  showgirl. She draws inspiration from her work as both a performer and teacher.

 

 

 

 

DOLORES DAIQUIRI

 

Dolores Daiquiri is co-producer and partner as Shimmy Shake launches in Melbourne. She comes with a wealth of experience as founding member of Australia’s premier burlesque troupe Hi Ball Burlesque who has been at the forefront of the burlesque revival since 2002. As a distinguished member of the first burlesque troupe in Australia Dolores has performed at an extensive range of events and shows, captivating audiences with her glamorous brand of classic vintage-flavoured tease!

 In addition to performing Dolores has created and produced a vast array of successful shows and events with Hi Ball Burlesque including Melbourne’s hugely successful regular burlesque revue ‘Red Door Burlesque’. Dolores is co-producer of the Australia’s First Annual Burlesque Festival which achieved sell-out success in it’s debut year, a testament to an established network in the Australian arts community.

 

 

 

 

FOXTROT INDIA

 

Foxtrot India has had a long love affair with burlesque . With over 16 years as a student and teacher of jazz ballet, Foxy began an infatuation with old world glamour and the choreography of dancers such as Gene Kelly and Bob Fosse.

Watching her first burlesque show she was intoxicated by the style. There and then she decided to move to London to become a burlesque performer and began performing within months of her arrival in early 2007.

Since then she has performed on stages around Europe and in the US, honing her skills as an entertainer.She now resides in Melbourne, Australia and is key artist on the scene, recently featured at the Australian Burlesque Festival and can be found at many venues across the city, known especially for her tassel-twirling skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BECKY LOU

 

With smokin’ curves and facial expressions that would make a silent screen siren proud, Miss Becky Lou cut her teeth performing with Perth’s Sugar Blue Burlesque troupe. Now residing in Melbourne, this pretty goofball looks forward to beguiling her new city with slapstick and striptease.

 

 

 

LALLAH L'AMORE

 

Lallah is a new kitten on the Melbourne burlesque scene. She is a trained

actress, singer, educator, and a passionate advocate of equality for all

regardless of gender, sexual orientation, cultural identity or socio-economic background. When not shaking her stuff onstage, Lallah works towards pursuing a PhD in sexuality education.
