Born Daniel Gardner, raised in isolated rural Canada, disassembling appliances and building strange gadgets were the only past-times that garnered young Gardner’s full attention until one semester a new course emerged into his traditional school curriculum; Electronic Music Composition. Suddenly; honor roll grades and a means to merge an imaginative young mind with over a decade of fiercely enforced classical piano training.
"Frivolous is the imaginary personification of my obsession with sound-design for both dancing and living alike. Manifesting in a multitude of performances and recorded works, my sound has been described as Jazz-infused minimal or experimental house". With more than 40 releases to his name, Frivolous has toured the globe playing an array of venues and festivals.
Some may identify Siopis as the former Silversurfer from Crosstown Rebels, a rather raw, dark and mysterious lad in his early days. His roots derive from a traditional Greek background in a modern German setting. A classical love affair with his clarinet and trumpet later coincided with his creative talent for breakdancing, graffiti art and spinning records, ultimately landing him DJ gigs in almost every club across the Greek Islands.
Currently, Siopis is signed and successfully releasing with Get Physical Records and has been hailed as one of the labels most exciting young guns.
Two young Austrian sound artists, focusing their passion to move the bodies and touch the souls of their audience. these freethinking producers (AKA Beppo & Ton) show a disregard for borders of genre, instead placing their focus on a beat that kicks and a credible message, their live act is electronic sound entertainment - always in touch and on a level playing field with the audience. Live Techno, house, sound art.
Brothers studio partners and seasoned producers whose achievements to date encompass 4 albums, a fruitful international touring career and an array of heavyweight productions spread across their three monikers Antix, Fiord and Triangle.
"The studio being our second home is our creative playground which gives us the confidence to work outside the square. The sound on the new Antix album tends to sway to the deeper emotional side with splashes of robotic funk and melancholic Indy dance. The Fiord releases of late are hypnotic dance-floor monsters, we love to pack a punch and give people a thrill. That's the advantage of having so many projects, it allows us to evolve in many directions"
Hailing from New Zealand with a musical background rich with influences from Ritchie Hawtin to Rhythm and Sound, Barton and Hayden have such a plethora of inspiration.
It is indisputable that the quality of their music simply demands your attention. On their musical quest they continue to push new boundaries, mesmerizing audiences worldwide.
Check out their work, and you'll hear why.
