The Ray Mann Three
RAY MANN: MULTIMEDIA SHOWS
Direct from touring Australia with Rev Al Green and Tori Amos, The Ray Mann Three are set to perform their only Melbourne shows for 2010 at Red Bennies, as part of this year's Melbourne Fringe Festival.
The Ray Mann: Multimedia Show is a unique live music experience, which combines the dynamic and intimate live soul music of The Ray Mann Three with projected animations designed by frontman/visual artist Ray Mann. The series of shows takes place over 4 nights at Red Bennies.
These are the first and only Melbourne shows for the Sydney band since 2009's sold-out show at Toff In Town, as part of the hugely successful "Opa Opa" Australian Tour. The Sydney show of that same tour was televised nationally on ABC's "Live At The Basement".
The Ray Mann Three are Australia's troubadours of minimal Soul music. Ray Mann has previously shared the stage with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Jamie Lidell, Roy Ayers, The Bamboos, Ash Grunwald and Kate Miller-Heidke. In May 2010, The Ray Mann Three made their live debut in Japan, playing shows with Arrested Development, G. Love & Special Sauce, Blue King Brown and more.
Frontman and visual artist Ray Mann also creates the visuals that characterise the warm, distinct visual aesthetic of The Ray Mann Three. He has produced a series of music videos for $50 each, and has exhibited his art in its own right in the Ray Mann: Art Exhibition in Sydney.
