The Roaring Twenties were a decade when America cast off many of the inhibitions of earlier and celebrated prosperity, movies, the automobile, and jazz.

Red Bennies takes you back in time 90 years to a spectacular presentation of the 1920s, complete with cabaret, jazzy beats, daring circus stunts and classic art deco styling.

Also known as The Jazz Age, the Red Bennies Roaring 20s welcomes reputed Melbourne jazz band, Shirazz, as well as 3 Feet of Beat (tap), Hannah Trott (aerial), Strawberry Siren (burlesque) and more.

SHIRAZZ

Shirazz is a six-piece Melbourne trad jazz and dixieland band, specialising in classic hot jazz of the 20s and 30s, and has been fast gaining a reputation as one of Melbourne's premier jazz bands.

Shirazz plays classic trad jazz as it was meant to be played. With hot solos, driving rhythms and tight arrangements, a set from Shirazz is a step back in time, to a jumping New Orleans dance hall where fast, hot tunes intersect with swinging standards and laid-back Louisiana street beats. With the odd original tune and some re-imagined pop classics, Shirazz should be enjoyed irresponsibly, and in excess.

Three Feet of Beat is a collaboration designed to be entertaining, smart, classy and all together impressive. This fresh and talented cast matches a class leading drummer/percussionist with 2 of Australia's best tap dance professionals. With infectious energy and an over-riding sense of fun, Three Feet of Beat offer a unique performance of toe-tapping excitement and plenty of laughs! With over 25 years of combined entertainment experience, Three Feet of Beat guarantees to excite and entertain audiences of all ages.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Hannah combines her skills as a professional dancer with aerial intrigue, creating performances that will leave you breathless.

Miss Strawberry Siren has been dazzling Burlesque audiences both in Australia and overseas for the last 4 years. No stranger to the stage, Miss Strawberry has been performing since the tender age of 12 (yes.... that’s 16 years under lights!) Miss Strawberry draws on her extensive background in Circus, Theatre and Dance to provide a fresh and fancy take on Burlesque that she likes to call Cirlesque!
