Call them what you will- 'Balkan gypsy brass band, roaring twenties swing ensemble, Wild West fiddle contest or a soundtrack for Looney Tunes'- it barely scratches the surface. There are few, if any parallels to the sound of The Woohoo Revue.

This fiendishly talented sextet create an adrenalin-fuelled celebration fit for dancing, drinking, and ignoring tomorrow.

The combination of absolute dance floor mayhem and a strong sense of old world style has inspired the Age Newspaper to describe The Woohoo Revue’s shows as ‘pandemonium in a pin striped suit’. 

Having cast themselves into isolation for the previous month, the band has re-emerged with a bevy of brand new, untrialed on the public, yet to be politically approved material set to light up the dancefloor like never before. Be the first to get a taste of the band's upcoming album.

SHIRAZZ

Shirazz is a six-piece Melbourne trad jazz and dixieland band, specialising in classic hot jazz of the 20s and 30s. Featuring exciting ensemble playing, driving rhythms and hot solos, Shirazz has been fast gaining a reputation as one of this city's premier jazz bands.

In the short time since the band was formed by trombonist and vocalist Matt Dixon in 2009, Shirazz has cemented itself as a headline act for festivals across the state with a decidedly new approach to the genre of trad jazz. Although the standards get a look in, a Shirazz set is peppered with songs people know and love - although they've never heard them quite like this. Together with trad covers of pop songs like "Stairway to Heaven" and "Fat Bottomed Girls", the band also writes its own tunes, which brings trad jazz up to speed with the modern world.

This thoroughly accessible and entertaining approach to hot old-style music means Shirazz has something for everyone.

MR. LOB

Mr Lob has been djing, promoting and running parties since 1999 and mainly plays an eclectic blend of funk, soul, jazz, hip hop, reggae and latin soul and just about anything else he can use to create a vibe that suits the venues that book him to play. The one thing you can say about Mr Lob's style is that whatever he plays it has to have a real funky and soulful sensibility.

Always endeavouring to take the crowd on a musical journey and create a funky vibe Mr Lob is known for getting the room dancing if that is what is called for or alternatively playing smooth background sounds to drink to and he has been doing this successfully for the past 12 years.

Since starting his Dj Career in 1999 Mr Lob has held down residencies at Melbourne club nights like Fistful of Funk, Strange Behaviour, Car Boot Funk, Dropping Phat, Black Caesar, Soul Searching, Big City Funk, The Get Down, Sound Check, Inner City Groove, Bass Camp, Bimbo Deluxe and Good Times. Mr Lob was also behind a very successful party and website called Weedhopper that ran from 2002 - 2004.
